The Rev. Rebecca B. Kirkpatrick
Priest Associate for Children, Youth, and Families
Rebecca returns to Saint Andrew’s after seven years of ministry in the greater Diocese of Olympia. Rebecca first served our parish in 2005-2012 as Associate Priest and Director of Children and Youth Ministries. She returns to our parish in 2019 to serve in a similar capacity with our children, youth, and young adults.
Rebecca grew-up attending the Annie Wright Schools (Tacoma, WA) followed by Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA) and Yale Divinity School (New Haven, CT). Following divinity school, she spent a year as the Multi-Faith Coordinator in the Office of Chaplain at Columbia University (NYC). Wanting to return to the PNW, she joined Saint Andrew’s staff. In her spare time, she was also the Episcopal Chaplain at both the Annie Wright Schools and the University of Washington. She then went onto serve on the Bishop’s staff in the Diocese of Olympia as the Canon for Faith Formation: 35 and Under. After five years on their staff and a year as the administrative priest at Saint Matthew-San Mateo Episcopal Church (Auburn, WA), she became rector at Saint Philip’s Episcopal Church (Marysville, WA).
It is truly full circle for Rebecca to return to our staff and to, once again, join this beloved community of people and faith.
When not at church, you can find Rebecca and her wife, Cara, working in their rather large garden, meeting up with friends, and playing a nightly game of Cribbage.
