Junior Youth Group is a safe and fun place for junior high school students in sixth through eighth grade to be part of a community outside of the middle school chapel and classroom time on Sunday mornings. We meet once a month after church for lunch and then for a fun activity or service project. This year's calendar includes an outdoor picnic, a high ropes challenge course, serving at a food bank, and building community beyond the classroom. Note that 6th-8th graders are also invited to be part of the Church School community on Sunday mornings. Jon and Debbie Fobes are the JYG leaders. Feb. 6th:
Saturday Service Project to Northwest Harvest. Meet at church at 11:30AM for lunch and carpooling to the Kent Warehouse. Parent drivers and chaperones needed. We will spend 3 hours at NH sorting food in their Kent Warehouse. School service credits available.
Feb. 7th:
'Souper Bowl' Sunday donations of food and money collected by youth during 10AM service. All donations go towards FamilyWorks.
Mar. 14th:
Getting ready for Easter. Meet after church for lunch and get ready for Easter with projects such as stuffing the annual Easter egg hunt eggs and a fundraiser to help the JYG.
April 25th:
Rollerskating at Lynnwood Skate and Bowl. Get your groove on and join us for this exciting event. Meet after church for lunch and then skating. Parent drivers and chaperons needed.
May 24th:
End of the year gathering and service project. Meet after church for lunch and project.
