    Ministry at St. Andrew's

St. Andrew's seeks to support the faith journey of every member of our church family, and we strive to share Christ's love with each other and our community.

    WORSHIP
Sunday worship is central to our life as a parish family. The Eucharist is celebrated three times each Sunday to nourish us to go out into the world to minister in the name of Christ. There are many ways for you to participate, including:

    • Children's Chapel: Contemporary music, worship, and stories geared toward our younger children (and the overgrown kids who lead it!) every Sunday during the 10 am service. Chapel kids return to the main sanctuary for the offering and communion with their parents.
    • Choir: Our outstanding group is led by Michael Cooley and performs a wide range of classical and contemporary works. Rehearsals are Thursday nights at 7:30.
    • Acolytes: An opportunity for youth to take a direct part in our worship services.
    • Layreaders: Reading the lesson of the day to the congregation.
    • Ushers: Assisting and greeting all that enter St. Andrew's.
    • Altar Guild: Caring for the altar and the flowers, candles, vestments, and other symbols of worship.

    OUTREACH
St. Andrew's reaches out to those in need in our community.

    • Jubilee Dinner: Parish members prepare and serve a sit-down dinner on the last Sunday of each month to those in need.
    • Teen Feed: St. Andrew's joins with local churches to provide dinner once a month to homeless teenagers.
    • Neighbors in Need: A monthly food collection for our local food bank.
    • Sister Churches: St. Andrew's is involved in a partnership in ministry with Holy Family Episcopal Church in Raineh, Israel, St. Andrew's in New Orleans, and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Nakiwogo, Uganda.

    PASTORAL CARE
We are committed to assisting in times of illness, personal crisis, or spiritual need.

    • Eucharistic Ministers: Take the consecrated Eucharist to those who are unable to participate in regular Sunday worship. Diocesan licensing is required.
    • Cancer Support Group: Meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM, providing prayer and emotional support for cancer patients and survivors.
    • Prayer Chain: Prays for the special requests of parish members.
