Youth Programs

Middle & High School Youth Group
6th-8th & 9th-12th Grade.  Every other week, during the school year, 6-7:45pm, in Youth Room.
Our middle and high schoolers gather every other Sunday in the Youth Room for a joint time of games and then split into separate groups for check-ins and lessons/discussion.  We follow a flexible three-year curriculum that allows us to have deep discussions about topics and issues to better inform our faith.  Other special events happen throughout the year (eg Christmas party, retreats, service projects, etc).

Progressive Dinner
December 17th.
This is our Youth Group Christmas Party.  It’s called a progressive dinner because we travel to three different locations for appetizers, dinner, and dessert.  Both middle and high school youth gather at St Andrew’s and then go to separate locations from their dinner and dessert.  There are games, good food, and a white elephant gift exchange.

Middle School Winter Retreat
For 6th-8th Graders.  Usually Fri-Sun of MLK Jr weekend.  This year it is 12-14 January 2018.
This retreat is a blast!  It’s one of the best planned and attended retreats for middle schoolers in our diocese.  The games are fun, the speakers are engaging, and Miracle Ranch has horseback riding, paintballing, and more!  It’s a great opportunity for our middle schoolers to grow in their faith, deepen friendships, and have a good time.

Summer Mission Trip
For rising 9th Graders to Graduating Seniors.  Usually the 4th week of July.  This year it is tentatively set for 22-27 July 2018.
Mission Trips are one of the highlights of the year for our high schoolers.  They are a great opportunity for our youth to grow in their faith through travel, service, and fellowship.  We plan our trips so that our youth will experience a variety of elements with faith formation as their goal: rural and urban ministries, service and learning components, pilgrimage and retreat.

Other Gatherings
In addition to our regular programming we also get together for other occasions throughout the year.  Some events are for fun, some are service projects, and others are focused on learning and growing.  Examples could include going to a Corn Maze in the Fall, serving at the Auction, a Game Night, or any number of other great activities.
