Climate Change for Families, Sunday, June 4, 11:45 am

Plant for the Planet logoSt. Andrew’s is invested in empowering our children to give them the roots and wings they need to grow into themselves and the world.  This forum is another step in this empowerment process — preparing our younger members to understand and take on one of the many challenges of our modern world — climate change.  Presenter Sue Leander will be offering information accessible to all regarding global climate issues and what our children can do about them.  This detailed, but not overly depressing talk, will help our children and the adults who know and love them internalize information and access one pathway forward to a greener future.  This is a family-friendly gathering open to all ages. Plant for the Planet was founded by 9-year-old Felix Finkbeiner in 2007 and has become a global movement. In ten years, more than 14,000,000,000 have been planted worldwide.
