Centering Prayer

CP Special: Grounding Action in Contemplation & Spiritual Practice

Wednesday, February 15, 5:45-7:30, in the Chapel
In this volatile time we live in when many people are feeling called to action, it is more important than ever that we ground whatever action we take in prayer and in our relationship with God. David Newman, St. Andrew’s cuurent chair of the OneWorld group and a longtime centering prayer practitioner, will bring us quotes and inspiration from Thomas Merton and Rabbi Michael Lerner. Other longtime practitioners and activists will share their experience and inspiration. We will begin the evening with a half-hour period of centering prayer, break for snacks, and then have about an hour of sharing and conversation. Please bring your own experience and inspiration and join us for this special evening. RSVP cherryh@saintandrewsseattle.org.

Centering Prayer Meets Regularly at 5:45-6:15 pm on Wednesdays in the Chapel of the Resurrection

One period of Centering Prayer before supper when evening classes are in session. When classes are not in session, look for expanded prayer times and DVD watching.
